Neurodivergent

My psychologist thinks i may be neurodivergent and both autistic and adhd. I am using this just to offload because i need to as it is replaying in my head. I feel like i am not smart enough to be autistic as i am still learning what it is about but laps i dont fit in anywhere and still suck at bonding when it comes to relationships

Oh they diagnose EVERYone with ADD or ADHD or whatever term. Kind of like "type 2 diabetes".

These "spectrums" used to be reserved for school children who didn't have the discipline of a US Marine but now they want to label everyone.

Classic sales tactic - they create the problem then want to sell you the solution.

@HoeBag I've never been clinically diagnosed, unlike my 22 y/o son who has been. But I know I am 'different' to 'neuro-typicals'.

@HoeBag True up to a point. ADD does exist though

@zonavar68 How can "different" be defined when most do not know what "normal" really is though?"

@Cloud7593 Yeah it exists. I think it is kind of peculiar though that they put a bunch of energetic kids in a class devoid of any real entertainment, teach them boring stuff, and expect them to sit still for the majority of the day. Then the ones who cannot deal are labeled.

School IS boring, and of course when the kids find any sort of entertainment, the school make it against the rules. Doesn't matter if it is a verbal expression they enjoy, some small thing like a fidget spinner, or just anything.
Like any form of enjoyment is forbidden.

@HoeBag Very true of school in a lot of ways
