I can’t accept being autistic. It ruined my life.

I get treated differently than the other relatives. Why? I hate being called special. When I have meltdowns or try to express my feelings, I get laughed at and get told to get over it and suck it up. I get yelled that for not helping and they expect me to help since I’m nice and soft hearted. I get treated like I don’t understand anything and I’m stupid.

I'm so sorry you go through that. I know how you feel though. I've be treated differently my entire life because I'm quiet and soft-spoken. I've been able to turn the negativity into something thatworks for me; motivation. Motivation to not beheld down by the insecurities and arrogance of others, to not be restricted by the "cannots" and "should nots". it hass helped to reach out and find people who do want to appreciate me for who I am and not who they think I should be.

It doesn't sound like autism has ruined your life, it sounds like your crappy unsupportive family and peers have.

There are plenty out there who would love you autism and any flaws you may have and all. You just have to find them, and in some cases, wait for them to find you.
