What 2 weeks of depression can do

[image/video - please log in to see this content]

I feel ugly and ashamed of being unkempt. I'm trying to comb my hair out. I have to get my sh.i.t together.

i don't know if you have any, but get some flax seeds (whole, you can find at walmart or any grocery store) and boil them with 3-4 cups of water until it makes a gel and strain it(you can also put some cloves in it if you like the smell. it's going to look gross and slimy and drip etc, so do it in the kitchen and bathroom when you apply. wait until it cools a bit and put it in your hair and literally detangle it with your fingers, a wide toothed comb or a detangling brush so you don't break your hair. you can also look up videos for the recipe or method on youtube as well. i hope this helps you.

please don't try pulling or chopping it off out of frustration when the seeds are fairly cheap to buy (less than five dollars) and the recipe can be made over and over again with about a half to a full cup of them. and it will help easily detangle. good luck🥺i def understand.
Detangle brushes and hold your hair by the ends while gently detangling as to not pull the roots and reduce pain and hair loss. I also find that putting on a podcast, series , video essay etc can be helpful in completing tasks I've been avoiding. 🫂

Been there. The flax seed idea is a fun one. I've used conditioner for that type of matted knot. Just rub in the conditioner or hair mask and I always use a wet brush (the brand), I find it magical. It's the best hairbrush ever and it's not unaffordable. You can get them for under 10 for sure when they're on sale at ulta or amazon.

Hope you feel better
I know you're showing how tangled your hair has become but I can see the natural beauty in it.

Don't be too hard on yourself, and don't rush. Take your time untangling your pretty hair. Take care of yourself, not because you're obligated to, but because you deserve it.

You have friends nearby no matter what. ❤‍🩹

The two weeks doesn't matter, what matters now is you're doing the work. It must be so hard. Keep at it this is step one.
