i don't know if you have any, but get some flax seeds (whole, you can find at walmart or any grocery store) and boil them with 3-4 cups of water until it makes a gel and strain it(you can also put some cloves in it if you like the smell. it's going to look gross and slimy and drip etc, so do it in the kitchen and bathroom when you apply. wait until it cools a bit and put it in your hair and literally detangle it with your fingers, a wide toothed comb or a detangling brush so you don't break your hair. you can also look up videos for the recipe or method on youtube as well. i hope this helps you.
please don't try pulling or chopping it off out of frustration when the seeds are fairly cheap to buy (less than five dollars) and the recipe can be made over and over again with about a half to a full cup of them. and it will help easily detangle. good luck🥺i def understand.
