A bipolar person in a manic swing may experience hypersexuality, but that doesn't mean they would commit incest.
So I guess the answer is, no, not typically/necessarily.

Some mental illnesses can develop directly from trauma.
I don’t see the connection

Not that I'm aware of... Why?
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
I have read that bipolar can be brought on by trauma, but not in all cases. If someone experienced childhood incest related trauma, it’s possible that could have brought on bipolar

Why do you believe bipolar is related to incest?
Firedragonco2 · M
@Guardian from what I learned, it’s a chemical imbalance in the brain is what bipolar is, and they have done studies where it was directly related to incest,
Guardian ·
@Firedragonco2 neurodivergence causes many unusual behaviors as a coping strategy, so it is possible. But the two are not necessarily linked.
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
Not particularly, I'm guessing? But you'd have to ask a mental health professional.
Possibly. Im not sure anyone else would have linked the two as a point of study
