Yes. My two cats and I have arrived at a new compromise. One still wants to go out at 5:30 am, but neither wants to eat at that time anymore. So I get up, pee, let him out. Then go back to bed for another two to three hours sleep. Around 8 a.m. the other will respectively begins suggesting it might be time to get up. That period of time is the sweet spot for sleep imho. No dreams, but fully rested with that additional time, no other pee breaks. Nirvana.
