Do you think narcissists and sociopaths are born that way or do you think their circumstances molded them to be the way they are ??

I think sociopaths are born that way and are unable to change. Narcissists, on the other hand, were molded and trained to be that way...usually by their abusive narcissist parents.

@4meAndyou I heard a psychologist say that all narcissists carry deep shame. At least they have an awareness and a conscience but apparently they choose not to act on it. I imagine much of their shame comes from manipulating people for things and it gives them a false sense of power and they know it’s basically cheating.

@cherokeepatti Perhaps they do. However, they certainly conceal their shame VERY well.
