What is the minimum amount of time a therapist should see a client before making recommendations?

really depends on how good he or she is at seizing up someone. I had therapists who were so useless after a few months they still didn't come even close to understanding me. other ones might talk to a person once and already start to see some basic issues that should be addressed. example: (first meeting with therapist). client"every morning I feel foggy and depressed and its hard to get going" therapist" do you eat a lot of sugar before going to bed" client "yes, every night I eat a whole box of cookies" therapist" stop eating sugar at night and you'll already start feeling better".
