I totally agree. When I was managing a bunch of dedicated engineers and scientists, I sometimes ordered them to take a day off and get away.

I have quite an occupied work lifestyle as a business owner and burning out the candle on both ends is quite the norm, well, it became the norm. So instead of going to the extreme of taking a every weekend off, I take a whole weekend off every fortnight. I’ll go for a long walk, enjoy the river, parks along the way and stop by to get lunch somewhere. Just a complete day away from a screen. It really helps!
