Not at ALL popular! I developed type 1 diabetes when I was 12 years old and had to carry around a urine testing kit because glucose meters weren't invented yet. And I was always passing out in school from low blood sugar. So as desperate as I wanted to be popular, everyone laughed at me or pitied me instead.

I was an American football player and High school wrestling star that had a very rough young childhood. I was accepted and feared and even loved in all the groups of school, but I had only a few real close friends.

@Ozymandiaz Went from bloody beatings by my dad as discipline living in inner city area with ethnic street gang fights on the early 1970's 1970 to 1974 to moving to a country school stopping my father's beatings myself at age 16, So very interesting indeed.

@Ozymandiaz I went back to those inner-city neighborhoods all through my school years for family gatherings and old friends (All now in prison or mental hospitals). I could drive park and get out of my car and be accepted where others get beaten robbed, or raped. So very interesting indeed.

I was The Loner & The Outcast, and the complete opposite of who I am today. Today you see a hyperactive, obnoxious person with a contagious personality. That is a lot of fun to be around.

Back when I was in school, I learned to be tough, thick-skinned, and got to be really good with my fists.

Years later, a couple who I brought together, tried to reach each other through me. Alas my male friend died before they found each other again.

I didn't think i was .
But in the final year i got voted in to be on the student prefect council - and i didn't apply for it.

I didn't like it - it had all the 'beautiful' people in it....and i was kinda fat and pimply🤷

I can definitely say i only had three enemies, and only beat up one of them 😂

Not popular like the cheerleaders, for example. I was a music nerd, and a go-to when someone needed a pianist. So I was known in that sense and people were pretty cool.
