DearAmbellina2113 · 46-50, F
I think I've only truly been in real love once.
Ambroseguy80 · 56-60, M
Once. I’ve been in lust a few times and thought that was love

It's a good question.

Are we looking back with fond/sad memories of relationships that didn't come to fruition or counting those that turned out to be a huge mistake ?

I've had 6 good relationships.
Two i asked to marry me.
One turned me down and the other i did marry was awful.

I can't count that high.

All the time. I fall in love every day. 🤷🏾

With myself, with beautiful things, with art, with my person, with the sun, the moon, with love itself...etc

When it comes to deeply romantically loving individuals I feel like my view on it is a little "controversial" because I've never fallen out of love with anyone I have ever fallen IN love with.

I feel as though if that were possible to do then perhaps what I felt for them wasn't love at all but lust or infatuation... Or limerence but genuine "love" is eternal.

The type can change but there will always be some there even if there is no longer passion or desire behind it. But I admit I COULD be wrong about this. It's only my personal view.

never! i dont think im capable of feeling romantic attraction
Only once did it affect me to this degree - so probably just once.
Couple of times.
Youwereexpectingajoke · 31-35, M
Once, that being right now.

I thought I had been in love once before but, compared to this, that was nothing.
3x think that’s enough
TheLadyPotato · 31-35, F
I think once.
2 but I think 1 was maybe more of an addiction than love if I'm being honest ...real love should feel safe not like a Rollercoaster...ok so 1
Horok · 31-35, M
If I think about the question, may be Never, at least not the kind of love that makes you risk your heart.

I’ve never trusted someone enough to take that leap, and sometimes I wonder if I’m even capable of it.

Yet after every disappointment, some part of me still waits for a love that feels worth the fall.

Perhaps that’s the curse of a hopeless romantic.

Just once for me. My wife says, "None of your business."
Sapio · 51-55, M
I don't know if I have. I can't even remember.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
Many. Each one is different. You really can't say which is better, when there's that many different types of love.

I dropped the idea of a single life mate decades ago, in my early twenties.

That's solely a religious fantasy, designed to control everyone. And society as well as the government only kowtows to the basic idea.

"Oh how can we control the masses? " 😱

Even China uses that to control. And without any deities!
