Righto on a whim I went to that love language quiz/survey site at the link in the original post. It's trying to force me to subscribe and create an account before it will give me results. Not happening.

One thing I did notice though - there's a significant focus on gift-giving and public displays of affection throughout the questions that were being asked. I'm not big on the gift thing either giving or receiving them (when in dating or relationships and particularly in relation to getting engaged/married), and find public displays of affection very uncomfortable when I have been in relationships (esp with my second ex - that part was extremely difficult for me) as that me feel squeamish.

To me expressing love in an adult/romantic/intimate sense has always been a very private and personal thing when I have been able to feel comfortable doing it.

I took the test; apparently words of affirmation are my love language. And that makes sense. I didn’t hear a lot of verbal encouragement as a child, it just wasn’t my folks’ parenting style. I try to tell my loved one that I appreciate , believe in them and that I love them, so they will never be in doubt.

It's quality time but im not sure it's so much a love language. More like a trauma response to neglect lol

Please include foods of affirmation as well.

There's a lot of empirical belief out there that sex itself counts as a 'love language'. Again as I don't understand the concept of a 'love language' I can't qualify this with any qualitative experience(s) to back it up.

I don't understand love languages and I'm single so no avenue to try and work it out.

Don't even need to take the questionnaire. It always was touch. Either way.

There's probably a very good reason for this however.
