if you want to take the quiz, here's the link: https://5lovelanguages.com/quizzes/love-language

but just a quick summary of each one is...

acts of service: for these people, actions speak louder than words

receiving gifts: for some people, receiving a heartfelt gift is what makes them feel most loved

quality time: this language is all about giving the other person your undivided attention

words of affirmation: this language uses words to affirm other people

physical touch: to this person, nothing speaks more deeply than appropriate physical touch

i'm just curious what sweeps, have to say on what you think yours is.

Righto on a whim I went to that love language quiz/survey site at the link in the original post. It's trying to force me to subscribe and create an account before it will give me results. Not happening.

One thing I did notice though - there's a significant focus on gift-giving and public displays of affection throughout the questions that were being asked. I'm not big on the gift thing either giving or receiving them (when in dating or relationships and particularly in relation to getting engaged/married), and find public displays of affection very uncomfortable when I have been in relationships (esp with my second ex - that part was extremely difficult for me) as that me feel squeamish.

To me expressing love in an adult/romantic/intimate sense has always been a very private and personal thing when I have been able to feel comfortable doing it.
