It might be pretentious and shallow but when people praise the comedy of Adam Sandler, Will Ferrell, or Jim Carrey I kinda judge them.

@MethDozer Agreed. I liked George Carlin, Bill Hicks and Richard Jeni because I found their humor intelligent. I like Alonzo Bodden now for the same reason.

@MethDozer they are all formulaic.
But Sandler's early stuff still had some charm. Now it's just this unfunny guy that consistently makes bank from the schlock that scores low, because Sony and Netflix fellate him for some reason.

@MethDozer he's a psychonaut. He's a strange character but he's onto some real stuff. I don't like all of his movies but I see why he chose some of them. I just feel like anyone that devoted to silliness knows stuff lol

I agree with Adam Sandler and Will Ferrell though. I don't get it. Add Ben Stiller too.

@DarthInvader The Mask was okay. Eternal Sunshine was great. Dumb and Dumber, Grinch, and most of his kther comedy is awful
