I kinda get it. I’m writing a sci-fi book revolving around how a massive galactic empire manipulates its subjects into working hard for them in the hopes I can sell it and live lazy off the royalties 🤷♂

I don’t see her as a fascist just because she’s anti-trans.

@Fukfacewillie She has an authoritarian position specifically on transgenderism the moment she advocate for the state to strip certain people of individual liberties without justification.
Characterized by or favoring absolute obedience to authority, as against individual freedom. / Tending to tell other people what to do in a peremptory or arrogant manner.
As you said, I don't think she's anywhere fascist, but definitely authoritarian on this specific issue.

@Elessar I don’t think she’s against the democratic process, or advocates some obediance to authority. Trans “rights” are open for some reasonable interpretation as well. Authoritarian governments aren’t what she’s calling for unless she’s MAGA. If she is I stand corrected.
By way of example, Woodrow Wilson was a racist, but no one would call him an authoritarian.

@Fukfacewillie Implicitly, the moment you want to outlaw something you're implicitly calling for an authority to enforce that restriction. She isn't against the democratic process but that isn't incompatible with authoritarianism in a general sense, you can very well be democratic *and* authoritarian. You can't be democratic and fascist at the same time, but as I said I don't think she's fascist.
