What's the biggest surprise you've ever received?

The prettiest girl in high school wanting to go out with me.

Where I work, there was this guy training for a manager position in the state next over.

He noticed I rode a decrepit bike to work and asked me what my favorite color is. His last week before leaving he surprised me with a new black and green bicycle. He was a real nice guy

He's an ex by about 30 years, but I still remember he surprised me on my birthday with a romantic canoeing evevning on the lake. I couldn't believe he figured that out and surprised me with it. To this day it's my favorite.

That my best friend was fucking the woman I thought I was going to marry. I never got over it. I've never been able to trust anyone, male or female, and I've never been married. They made each other miserable for 15 years. He was so shocked when he found out she was cheating on him with her boss.

Finding out I was pregnant

One year, on Christmas morning, I opened my gift and there was a BEAUTIFUL diamond engagement ring. I was so happy I cried. When we got married he couldn't afford the ring.

It wasn't the good kind .. learned my lesson
