Relaizing my life is boring

I wish I had an answer or advice, but I do not. My kids are raised and out of my home, I am retired and living where and how I want to live. But I can empathize on the dating side of things with you, because I have yet to have met a woman that would date a person like me. But I go out to places and venues where I won't be hated and harmed for living like I want too.

I know with kids at home it is significantly harder as well. Because I raised mine on my own too.

Have you thought of joining parents groups or even story time at the library where you can meet other parents maybe even single dads. They have arts and crafts classes, or just get out more even if it's to go to a church or something you can go to places where you can take the kids. Do you have a neighborhood app? There may be other moms in your area start your own group. When my girls were younger we did paint parties where the kids played as we painted and listened to music they do it now with their friends

If you can turn off the computer you will suddenly have lots of free time. I know that is true for me. Go for a long walk in the woods, sit by a creek, draw trees with a pencil or learn to paint.

That pretty much my life but without kids. Depressed and bored. I have to suck it up no matter it's going to be the rest of my life.

Find a hobby

You will meet someone. It will happen.

Boring is good. Boring is your friend. Embrace the boring.

Give it a few years and you'll be amusing yourself somehow else
