Melt all the glaciers around me!

We had snow and sleet and it is cold so it won't melt and is solidifying into mounds of hard ice. The roads and parking lots are pretty clear because they cleared them before the snow solidified into glaciers. But most sidewalks are covered and the edges of plowed areas are lined with berms of snow where the plows pushed it. These will take weeks to melt unless we have a heat spell. It rarely rises above freezing. It has been like this for two weeks. At least I can drive most places.
