Oddly, have read a few books there of..
My take was that The holographic principle doesn’t say we live in a black hole...but it suggests reality might be far stranger than we thought.

It means reality may be a 3d projection off a 2D plane.

@Vengabus fascinating. the amount of information a black hole can contain is also based on 2D rather than 3D isn't it?

@LibertarianEmily if the holographic principle is correct the maximum amount of information a black hole could contain would be determined by it’s 2D surface area
