I had a bit of trauma & that night my mind was racing out of control. It was a very miserable feeling, being so sleepy, but unable to because my brain was running so fast and was on a play back loop too. I finally got pen & paper to “catch” each thought & write it down, then the next & the next until I had filled a couple of pages & my brain had slowed to a more normal speed. Then sleep was able to over take me. I guess expressing those thoughts on paper & getting them out of my head helped clear it. That was a pretty bad experience & I’m sure hoping that you’re not plagued with this for much longer. Prayers of comfort & blessings for you.,

Sleeping resets your mind. It's therapy, sleeping 9-10 hours a day is great for mental health.

Hard to rest when the brain keeps looking for ways to make us feel safe in an unsafe world.
