Rest in Peace

My Nana (mum's mum) died overnight. She was my last living grandparent. My mum was distraught as you'd expect, but I just feel kind of sad and a bit hollow. I wasn't close to her, and it wasn't unexpected as she had late-stage dementia.

I guess I'm not sure how I feel. Today is also the anniversary of my grandma's death in 2013 (she was the family member I was closest to) which I'd forgotten about, and also the anniversary of me starting working as manager at the Warhammer shop in 2022.

My sincere condolences. I'm sorry for your loss.

We buried my Uncle today, Similarly, at age 92 & in poor health, it was expected.
Neither was I close to him, but still have fond memories of our interactions as a small child.
There is a certain hollowness, as we've lost a piece of ourselves, and a cherished human being.

@KiwiDan Then you need to put all this sad and grief and put it in the back of your head and do what you have to do which is to be there for your mom. You can deal with your emotions later.
You need to be the strong one because your mom needs you . That's all.
