He never was able to find out who "The Real Killer" was.
@cherokeepatti My step sister loves that movie, despite her hatred of horror, because it showcases the immorality and unethics of winning an obviously guilty client case at all costs. She also loved Matlock because the first thing he essentially said to a client is, "Did you do it? Because if you did, find another lawyer."

@NativePortlander1970 That one and Angel Heart were released the same year and became favorites. Angel Heart is a movie about a famous singer who sold his soul to get a successful career. A lot of symbolism in it as well. I felt that both these movies were based on real events.
@RenFur His lawyers were concerned the glove might injure his check-writing hand.

Damn. Before he had a chance to find the real killer. Guess we'll never know 🙄
@Benjago He confessed to it in his book, but because of double jeopardy they weren't allowed to go after him again.

@Benjago I knew my father did it when my mother died. He and my sister both lied to the police. We weren’t living with them but she had stayed over summer break. The police never checked any records in other states or they would have known that he could be extremely violent. My sister wore long pants and a long- sleeve shirt to funeral in August and dresses were what was appropriate for females back then for funerals. The reason she did it was to cover up 8 fist sized bruises including on her arms and legs. He even admitted it after he had a stroke in old age and lost his ability to be discrete. Police wouldn’t open up the case then, he was too old to be putting in the system I guess
No death bed confession.

Here we go. The trial will be re-opened post mortem. The media will attach themselves to it, just as they did before.

@4meAndyou He lived nearly for 30 years after she died.
I will have to read that.
