How do you let go of anger and resentment?

Without getting thrown into prison for dropping an anvil on someone ? Or making an effigy of them and setting it on fire in front of their home ?

I just say goodbye to it and let go. Something I've learned from meditation. It can be turned into positive energy.

@hunkalove thanks I'll try this

Focus on and get involved in other things. The more one sits idle and thinks about it, the more it grows.

I tried many things but meditation has been the most effective

I don't, it's all building up.

Take a serious break from said person for starters.

Recognize, it's my own. That's a whole process in itself. Recognize, another person also likely has their anger. And if we all didn't do these things, we'd all have effigies a lit in front of all our houses lit up. So I have to snuff my anger, as I imagine they have to too.

Mostly I listen to music.

Pray for their forgiveness i guess (not that they deserve it but because they don't)
All I can say is I find slowly fading away has worked for me

The anger subsides with time but the resentment...

I light my candles and make them so my confidence goes up

It just wanes, I don't have the stamina to hang on to it that long.

Think sniper rifle 🤣
Ugh, its HARD.

channel it into rising above, feeling the calm above the turbulent feelings beneath.

Its a long road. Anger, resentment and soooo much frustration is so difficult to let go.

But its not worth your life.
Remember: yes
Forgive them: no

Forgive yourself: yes.

And no, im not over it myself.. but i do have some good days now.....which is nice.

I try to validate and recognise my anger, but not act on it (so that I don't make an ass of myself).

I'm working on it 😬

let it hurt and consume you until you realize if you don’t let that shit go it’s going to give you a stroke. I’d rather lose a few weeks to my emotions than a few years off my life trying to suppress valid feelings. Be well

I try to meditate and sort through my feelings. I am working on it though.

The best revenge is a good peaceful life and success. move on, it hurts them more when they know that they are meaningless in your life
