I love guns and roses! I like your profile pic

Anything that badly written is deliberate.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@CountScrofula I agree.
Tminus6453 · M
Ive read that a few times and im still confused....I wonder how many people voted on that when they had no idea which way they were voting.... lol
Baremine · 70-79, C
@Tminus6453 there is nothing confusing about it. But it would be nice if there hadn't been so many lies and money from out of state.
Tminus6453 · M
@Baremine Its a word salad that makes no sense
Gusman · 61-69, M
@Baremine With the amount of citizens with poor literacy skills it would be very confusing.
I have great trouble understanding it. Very deliberate - legalese style.
Purely to confuse people so they may in fact vote the wrong way.
BarbossasHusband · 36-40, M
I literally had to pause what I'm watching//listening to to make sure I wasn't misunderstanding.

The fuck?

"We care about women AND children, so no abortion!"
I would vote "no" same as you
Gusman · 61-69, M
Such a confusing way to pose a question.
Why not - allow abortions - yes or no?
Made complicated to deliberately confuse people?
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@Gusman That’s how it should be written.
Harmonium1923 · 51-55, M
Very interesting election result. (Agree it was terribly worded). The KS Supreme Court had ruled previously that the state constitution provided the right to have an abortion. The ballot measure was an attempt to overrule that and enable the passage of legislation to prohibit abortion. What is interesting is that the measure failed roughly 60% / 40% (a huge margin) in a state that is generally conservative and Republican (although not to the extent of the Deep South--KS often elects Democratic governors, for instance).

The result is consistent with opinion polls, which tend to show a substantial majority of Americans supporting the right to abortion (at least in the first trimester or later on in cases involving rape, incest, or the life/health of the mother), even in states where legislatures have taken action to prohibit it in nearly all circumstances.
Baremine · 70-79, C
@Harmonium1923 how do you have a right to an abortion when abortion kills a living human being. Killing is murder and that is against the law. Abortion has nothing to do with women's health.
Harmonium1923 · 51-55, M
@Baremine I’m not getting into personal debates. My post had legal and political commentary, not personal opinions.
Budwick · 70-79, M
So, if if I understand that, bicycles need to be licensed?
Baremine · 70-79, C
I am absolutely embarrassed that the people of Kansas have so little respect for human life that they rejected the love them both amendment. Abortion is murder period. Nobody has the right to decide life or death except Almighty God. One of the reasons this country is in shambles is abortion,. The sacrificing of unborn children for convenience of adultery coverup is wrong Thou shalt not kill. God is judging America for it's sinful ways. A yes Joe Biden has sold his soul to the Devil.

Jeez. They’re really keen to kill babies ey!

Puts a referendum on a vote ballot 🤔
MarineBob · 56-60, M
In cases of rape incest and health of mother it's a question that shouldn't have to be answered. Once the state pays for the procedure all legal attempts should be made to recover 150% of the states fees
Could be why it passed as an amendment to the states constitution
Poorly written with the intent to confuse.
Chevy454 · 46-50, M
Confusing, but kill ‘em if you have to. I don’t care.

It didn't confuse anyone. The advertising on both sides was pervasive and everyone knew what they were voting for.

When I lived in California, there was a proposition written this way, but everyone knew "vote no for yes and yes for no."
Is that your ballot? So did you vote for or against abortion?
@MrBrownstone you said you are pro choice

You don't care about the lives of babies

What else is there to say. Same morals as the left
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@Stargazer89 You didn’t answer my question.
Chevy454 · 46-50, M
@Stargazer89 nope. I’m almost as right as they come except for the whole god thing, and saving fetuses
GerOttman · 61-69, M
Good catch! It doesn't actually come right out and say anything. It's not a ban, it's not an endorsement. All it really says is, the government can do whatever it wants and the rest of y'all can pound sand!
I thought this was fake when I read it, but apparently it's not.

@MistyCee The Guardian is a legit source.
@MrBrownstone It's corroboration anyways, and there's links there as well.

The people who wrote this really need help.

DDonde · 31-35, M
Technically per the constitution as they say they don’t require a referendum… so why is it in there?
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@DDonde It’s written confusing.
DDonde · 31-35, M
@MrBrownstone it is.

Great typo!
