DrawntoaDistance · M
Walked away from her the first time I knew that I should have.
@DrawntoaDistance What happened with her?
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
Insist my wife see a neurologist at the very first, smallest sign of dementia.
@ChipmunkErnie Oh no, sorry about that. Would've had made a difference?
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
@Catastrophe Probably not, but who knows? She fought admitting anything wrong.
BrandNewMan · 61-69, M
I would leave my marriage earlier

I would have gone fishing more often.
@exexec I've been wanting to go fishing, haven't been since I was a kid.
exexec · 70-79, C
@Catastrophe I did a lot of fishing as a kid and with my two children until they grew up. I went a few times with my grandson, but now he likes to go by himself. Now that the weather is cooler, I might wet a hook soon.
@exexec You should!
Captainjackass · 31-35, M
Go to school earlier than I did. Invest in bitcoin and try looking for her so I could find her years before.
@Captainjackass Find her years before?
4meAndyou · F
I probably would have spent more time at the gym.
@4meAndyou I love the gym... I need to go back soon.
SethGreene531 · M
Hindsight being 20/20 & all: refined my career goals earlier in its track.
TheRealBarbossa · 36-40
I would have taken better care of myself, saved some money, avoided alcohol and gambling, and more.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
I'd do the same I did till 2019, except I wouldn't have cared as much about college and rather travel and try freelancing. Then knowing then what I do now I would have bought an apartment in 2019 and probably would have signed a contract for another year in the company I worked for.
Stayed in school
RebelRaven · 51-55, F
I wouldn’t have moved to the Okanagan, I loved it but I had to move back anyway. I would not have stayed with that bf that I met in 2016 either. Would have pushed harder for my knee to be fixed sooner as well.
@RebelRaven Why did you move back and what happened with your bf? I hope your knee is better soon!
RebelRaven · 51-55, F
@Catastrophe the housing market went too high for me by myself, then my dad was showing signs of decline, the ex bf turned out to be a covert Narcissist. Thank you, takes a while to heal after being messed up for 17 years
Mindful · 56-60, F
I would not have allowed ... wait honestly I think I've made the best decisions that I could have maybe I would have not allowed my ex husbands wife to be such a big part of my daughters life. Maybe I would have acted more jealous and distrusting. Maybe I could have kept them from stealing her away by being uglier? Rude? More possessive? It just doesn't sound right. Maybe I would have caught on to the fact that they were persuading her to live with them full time.maybe I would have threaded my ex with jail time after all.yes. That last one maybe.
@Mindful That must be painful, do you still see her?
Mindful · 56-60, F
@Catastrophe i got mad so she doesn't want to see me but yes, on her birthday i go and visit her
Iwillwait · M
Pursued my dreams rather than what I have been doing.
PatientlyWaiting25 · 46-50, F
The only thing I'd charge is keeping better focus on my husband's health. He died of a brain hemorrhage caused by high blood pressure. Neither of us knew. I'd have cooked better food, took more exercise and took more care to get his blood pressure under control if I'd have known what was going to happen.
@PatientlyWaiting25 Oh I'm so sorry to hear that! 😢 It's definitely not your fault, we're all just surviving, but I understand why you'd have those regrets. You'd never know if he'd want to do those things either though. Perhaps he would do it for a day, then go back to old habits. I really do wish you future peace and happiness.🫂
PatientlyWaiting25 · 46-50, F
@Catastrophe thank you xx
Musicman · 61-69, M
I would not have bought the rental properties.

@BrandNewMan So far I have had to replace two air conditioners, two roofs, windows in one house. Hurricane impact of course! 💰💰💰 😭😭😭 And this doesn't even include general remodeling and new appliances.
@Musicman Doesn't insurance cover that?
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Catastrophe Noooooo! I wish it did. Regular maintenance and upgrades are on you.

@MentalMyrtle Everyone deserves respect. I'm sorry you went through that.

I'm pretty happy with where I'm at,I wouldn't change a thing.
There's not too much I could have done differently since I was dying... But I think I would/should have advocated for myself better and sooner. Maybe it would have helped. 🤷🏾
Losing so much of your life to illness when you should be just getting to the "meat" of it is lousy.
