I have one, the only problems I've found is if you have raised furniture and it's not quite high enough, it sometimes gets stuck under it. It can also get stuck under the dining table where there are chairs too. It also can't be used where there are stairs and thick rugs can also be a problem. On the whole though, I think they are good if you have a minimalist house or if you put your dining chairs up on the table. It's best to shut the door and let it do one room at a time. I find it most effective to let it do its thing whilst I'm home, then I can go rescue it if it gets stuck somewhere. It does a pretty good job. I can't remember what brand it was, I pimped mine up by covering it in shiny sticky plastic and a pair of big googly eyes 👀 it wasn't one of the top priced ones. I think I paid about £200 but that was a couple of years ago.

@CrazyChick21 thank u for ur comment. I have thick rugs, carpets and lots of chair. 🥲

@Simplyme33 It won't be perfect. You could pick your rugs up and pull out your chairs or put them on the table. I think it really does cut down on vacuuming time. I put mine on whilst we are watching TV.

@CrazyChick21 ah...too lazy for that

Simplyme33 · 31-35, F

I just got one a week ago. An offbrand one as I didn't know how my cat would deal with it. She just kinda stalks and watches it it. First thing I noticed is that it's loud even on the lowest fan setting. You will still need to clear cords and other loose items out of the room. Best to put chairs up on the table. Sometimes it senses the wall and then other times it gently bumps into it then turns around. I can be a little ditzy lol
Simplyme33 · 31-35, F
@Jessmari oh then its a no for me. I dont want to get involved in it in anyway. Too lazy to help it

@jshm2 that is exactly what Im deciding on. I have a maid that comes over once a month. But house gets messy and needs cleaning more than that. So Im thinking whether to ask her come every two weeks or buy a robotic vaccum cleaner

100% worth it we have a shark stratos 2-in 1 robot vacuum/mop. I have it vacuum twice a day and mop once a day at night.. I would also do a regular mop once a week just for a deeper clean but I love it. It was on the pricy side though
Simplyme33 · 31-35, F
@MommaBear thank u dear. I cant afford that one tho. Its 1000$
MommaBear · 26-30, F
@Simplyme33 Target might have it on sale they usually do (for less than $500) check online

I use this thing and it leaves my apartment spotless.

It's pretty smart, not exactly quiet but idc, does a pretty good job of getting under stuff. The only downside is that there's a camera on it so the NSA can see my balls.
Simplyme33 · 31-35, F
@BlueVeins it doesnt show the price. And I have carpets. It says its better to use it on tiles
BlueVeins · 26-30
@Simplyme33 It's US$130

It probably says that because the device has a mopping feature. The mopping feature will only activate on hard floors but it will still vacuum as normal on carpet.
Simplyme33 · 31-35, F
@BlueVeins oh that good then. Thank u
Sometimes I like and other times 🙂‍↔. I’m call him duster 😅. It’s not suppose to bang into things that it does and he always has trouble finding his way back to the dock 🤦‍♂
Can’t remember the brand and he’s currently parked at a good will shop 🙌😅

Don't get the new ones. Everything is spyware these days.

Robot vacuums was created back in 2006.

I would get the ones from 2009 to 2011 or 12.

Don't get anything between 2013 to 2026

@Simplyme33 they say it's national security reason to protect, but it's not. It's far more sinister and creepy.
Simplyme33 · 31-35, F
@FreestyleArt I didnt know anything abt that. But, even if they r spywares, what r they spying on in random ppls houses like mine🙄

@Simplyme33 we don't own our privacy anymore, and I bet those robot vacuums comes with an app. Some devices we don't own... it's a privilege for now on.
