Yesterday when I bought my daily can of ginger ale.

To the boy who is nearly 19, he has taken good care of me this summer, takes me to medical appointments, quick shopping trips for me, takes me to the stores or where I need to go. At home he is always asking. I told one of the chemo lab nurses how much he has helped me. He tried to brush it off saying “Well I live in the house with you”. The nurse said “Oh no, you don’t know how many people are chronically sick and can’t get a household member to help them at all”. I try to brag on him every chance I get. He has been so helpful since he first started living with us and he had just started 2nd grade. He will be attending the university this fall with a major in electrical engineering.
