@MyMonstersAreReal Hi. Good to see you.

If we get to change things - The day before my son died.

If we just relive it as it was - A day from last year when I took her for an all day date. We went to a sculpture park on a wooded hillside where you hike the trails and see the sculptures. Then we went to a farmhouse that was the childhood home of Robert Frost. Then we had an early dinner at a fancy restaurant before I took her to her first drive in movie.

The weather was excellent and we were both so happy and in love. It really was a perfect day.

Funny how much things can change in what seems like the blink of an eye…
Any of three times I’ve seen The Corrs in concert.

I'm rich now. Don't worry about me, I'll be fine.

The day in August of 2018 when she met me at the airport and I saw her face to face for the first time.
the day my dad had his colonoscopy. i'd tell him to follow up with the results and demand the hospital treat the cancer they found in its early stages rather than ignoring the paperwork...he died needlessly at 66. i know this to be true as our family doctor told me so some time later when i visited him

The day my youngest graduated college and on the way home my wife and I decided to stop in Monterey, and instead of staying in a cheap motel with a crib for him and a picnic basket & hibachi in the trunk for meals at Lovers Point park, we stayed in the ritziest hotel overlooking the Bay, ate at expensive restaurant on Cannery Row, and made long, slow love repeatedly as a live jazz band played on the terrace below our room. I wrote about that, which is probably still posted somewhere here.

Runner up: Went to a community reunion in the small mining/ranching town where my parents met and are buried, where I spent the first 6 years of my life and at that time was related to most everyone living there. We walked into the community center and they were playing my father's favorite song -- Lonesome Cattle Call -- as if he was saying thanks for remembering and coming. Then driving down the mountain to our lodging for the night in my Corvette, they played Moon River, a long time favorite with the lyrics "I'm crossing you in style someday".

It is so rewarding to take time and be able to reflect on life's journey and thankful for how far you came.

The day of my firstborn.

How about 365 of them? And all of the year 2005.
@Sidewinder that year was the worst ever for me personally. I’d never relive it unless I could change it.

Before my mother died and the times we had
swirlie · 31-35, F
@GeminiRain
Always remember though, that if you revisit that day from your past, you'd have to accept your mother exactly as she was at the time. Do you really want to do that?
GeminiRain · M
@swirlie Absolutely I would

A day in my childhood when everything was simple and I believed in the good
The moment I saw her.
None because it would never be as perfect as I remembered

It was July or August of 2000, as Christians measure the passage of time. I was seated below a stone arch in the mojave, watching two ravens fly off into the sunset, a moment of perfect synchronicity

Our wedding day and night, but only want to do it with my current knowledge, not the total ignorance of that day long ago.

Could I change the outcome of things or am I just reliving it the way it was?

The day an ex raped me so I could record him admitting to it. I'd go through it again if only to get evidence to convict him. Unfortunately my memory isn't evidence. It's my word against his.
@PinkMoon so sorry you had to endure that 🫂
