I hate what I just had to do. I hate it so much.

I did the right thing, but I caused hurt. In some people's eyes I am now a betrayer. But I would have been much worse if I didn't tell the truth.

Even the person I helped doesn't really understand.

I feel sick and unsteady. Raw af. Second guessing myself. Replaying. Headache.

Oh and I don't have my good paying job anymore. Likely won't even get paid for the work I did this week.

I need something good to happen soon. Please life.

Doin' a life sentence in a meat suit. All we have in this joint is our word...and our honor. You did the right thing. 🩷

I prayed for you to receive grace. Thank you for doing the right thing love ❤ others would skip it denying responsibility.
Get a warm beverage and forget about the world for few minutes. Stay in your car somewhere and listen to a song you love, you are worth it, despite the shady situations, you do the best thing. I trust you. Don't let it take over your whole life. Celebrate the good, even in the midst of hazy conditions. The bigger picture.

You did what was right for your patient. They needed more care than what could be offered. How would the family feel if that person fell or got hurt? I'd be appreciative of the alert.
ScreamingFox · 41-45, F
@Livingwell it's just a mess. Another mess I have to go through in addition to all my other problems. Instead of getting help I just get more to handle. I'm beyond tired.
SageWanderer · 70-79, M
You did what was right, and it had to be done. Also, I wouldn’t be surprised to find out you were being set up as the fall guy. And you can’t blame the one you helped as they are beyond comprehension of what was going on.

I pray the Universe rewards you for doing the right thing.
ScreamingFox · 41-45, F
@SageWanderer I found out some information today that shocked me. I should never have been in the middle of the family stuff. I kinda knew the man's family was trying to manipulate me. There was some sneaky stuff involved. So I'll likely be in the middle for a while longer but all I have to do is be honest.

My heart is breaking for the lady though. She is going to struggle with this.

It feels like it's all my fault people got hurt and it is
SageWanderer · 70-79, M
@ScreamingFox Don’t blame yourself, people were put in a situation that needed to be resolved. Wish I could offer a hug and a shoulder.
You did the right thing. The doubt always creeps in because it’s a learned and forced idea to not trust ourselves..

@deathfairy I'm waiting at therapy thank gods

It sucks. It really does. You did the right thing though. I know it's not easy to accept that, but her health and safety has to be above all.
ScreamingFox · 41-45, F
@Jessmari logically I know it, but the look in her eyes killed me
Hoodski · 36-40, M
What happened
ScreamingFox · 41-45, F
@Hoodski I'm an elder caregiver for a 99 year old couple and had to call social services because the husband was abusive. I just caused a ton of stress for two very old people and their families but I couldn't do nothing.
Hoodski · 36-40, M
@ScreamingFox I would assume you’re a mandated reporter right? Situations like that are so tough but you did the right thing and the hard thing
BuzzedLightyear · 61-69, M
@ScreamingFox you have a way with words
ScreamingFox · 41-45, F
@BuzzedLightyear my words are my heart
HoeBag · 51-55, F
What did you have to do?
Younameit · F
@ScreamingFox Unbelievable how men can’t leave women alone even at an old age. You did the right thing. Despite his reasons, either intentionally or due to a medical condition, the woman doesn’t deserve to be abused. And I’m sure you would have done the same if the it was the opposite situation.
HoeBag · 51-55, F
@ScreamingFox Sometimes we have no choice. You did the right thing, even if it was a difficult decision.
ScreamingFox · 41-45, F
@Younameit he needed help very badly but his family didn't/wouldn't see it. I know they love each other but I couldn't allow what was happening to continue. It's just an awful thing all around but I hope she finds well deserved happiness now that she is free.
Degbeme · 70-79, M
Did you contact social services?
ScreamingFox · 41-45, F
@Degbeme Yes and it's not pretty. I broke her heart. At 99 years old. But he'll never abuse her again. His family is livid. LIVID. I'm going to be drug along with this for awhile.
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@ScreamingFox I`m sorry you had to do that, but you`ve done the right thing. Like you say, she is better off now. They can be livid all they want. It should have happened a long time ago.
