Anyone feel overwhelmed trying to fix things in your life?

There's really no area of my life that doesn't need healing or improving. It can feel overwhelming. Anyone else feel that, or find any way to minimize that anxiety of never feeling enough ?

Mmhmm. Really feeling it this year, even though we’re only one day in. I know the deadlines ahead though and the rerouting that’ll be required of me. It’s the unknown results that bring on the anxiety and even urgency to get it all over with. But I can’t move up those deadlines. And truth be told, I’m not ready to take them on so it’s good I have time to gain some insight and the mental tools I’ll need to move forward.

So, what I tell myself to keep the anxiety and urgency at bay is “I’ve done everything I can do right now. I deserve to acknowledge that, be okay with that, and momentarily let go so I can harness the immediate redirection needed to put my time and energy into something I can fulfill beautifully right now. Everything else will get its moment.”
More and more often as the years roll by. Thank goodness my stepson's ex - the mother of their son - and I get along well. She calls me her step-poppy-in-law. She is helping me remodel the house (I supply the money/she supplies the know-how).

I'm not convinced that what most people present as "fixing my life" would truly be fixing. It just feels like trying to push a square shape into a round hole, honestly. Like living for others and by the rules of others not by mine and for myself. I need to find MY way and that's so hard because of my own internal battles.
It can be overwhelming. Just when ya think ya got something fixed, something else comes up. Its one thing after another. My life has been really good the last few yrs but, then, that can lead to the feeling of "this is too good to be true, when is it all gonna fall down". and this is why i take the meds. LOL
It feels tiring yes ,trying to do well at a career, have a nice home , take of my mental health and body build/maintain relationships around me etc. etc. it can be so very overwhelming
Yes, it seems to come in cycles, but 'worry' only makes it worse.

Never feeling good enough
So I became a perfectionist in my youth, always taking things to extremes.

Yes some days I wish everything was easier

TBH yes. I think what needs fixing is also that mindset.

We can all improve something in our lives
Take one day @ a time
Take one issue @ a time
Break bigger issues into their smaller components

I kind of believe the deep state hid some sort of kryptonite inside my walls while I was away.

Why do you not feel enough?
caccoon · 36-40
@Coralmist I hope you will keep going forward. Do you have a trusted therapist?
Coralmist · 41-45, F
@caccoon Unfortunately no. The last few just nodded and offered no strategy on healing trauma. I'm getting a new psychologist soon. Ty friend 🌺

@Coralmist I hope you will find your own healing path, whatever that looks like for you 💙
