Have my 20s back and try to do or experience more
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@royalblue1193 Yeah. That would be nice.

I would have done things differently that day my sister skipped school and asked me to cover for her. Maybe she would have lived. There's other stuff but nothing will ever be bigger than this for me. Only thing I can't get over in my life.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@DancingStarGoddess I hope it helped to write about it. and I understand deleting things. Sometimes they are just too close to our hearts to leave them open for all to read.
@LadyBronte it helped a lot. But I still talk to her when things are quiet and tell her what the world is like now and hope that she can somehow hear me. I've been doing it ever since. It's been very therapeutic.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@DancingStarGoddess Good for you. I 'm sure she can hear you.
Adogslife · 61-69, M
It would’ve been nice to have loving parents. Being sued, disowned, disinherited and not even being told when someone died, every time?

Life throws us humbling experiences, but that wasn’t necessary.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@Adogslife Yeah, that all would suck. But, you turned out well, despite it all.
Adogslife · 61-69, M
@LadyBronte Eventually (hopefully), you see the light and realize that happiness comes from inside. You need to block out exogenous forces that are bent on negativity - including family for some of us.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@Adogslife Seems you definitely were able to overcome it all. Good for you!
robbie2499 · 61-69, F
I would have arrived on time, not late, the day my sister's house caught fire. She didn't make it out.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@robbie2499 I am truly sorry for your loss. Hugs.
robbie2499 · 61-69, F
@LadyBronte Thank you.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
Joined the navy at 18 instead of going into social work.

But who's to say if life would have been 'better'.

When i think of all the global unrest since '83 and the stresses and strains on military personnel in the services since then....maybe i wouldn't have survived it.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@Picklebobble2 The military can be rough. 🤷🏼‍♀
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@Picklebobble2 It definitely wouldnt have been better, you'd have ptsd for life, instead you only have mild regret.
I have two. I think in tandem, they would have dramatically defined life's course.

1. Having the trust to ask for help in making a change.

2. Tell someone how I felt before it was too late.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@SethGreene531 Sadly, hindsight is 20/20. I wish you had been able to see that earlier but I do hope you've been able to make some positive changes since then.
@LadyBronte It is indeed.
I am twice the wiser now; diligently applying those hard lessons, and seeing positive return.
Thank you for your kind words! 😌
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@SethGreene531 I'm hapoy to hear it!
Cigarguy · 41-45, M
Not gone to school the day I was really struggling. If I would of stayed home my sister would still be alive
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@Cigarguy I'm terribly sorry for your loss.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
I would have done everything to get out of my home city after high school. Staying at home was probably the biggest mistake of my life.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@LadyBronte Yeah.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@CrazyMusicLover Time to make some risky changes, it's easy to look back, difficult to look forward.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
I should've let go of the edge of the small, submerged and upturned motorboat when I was about 5... then sink to the bottom of the Grand River in Caledonia, Ont.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@rinkydinkydoink Had about the same experience when I was 8-ish, I too wonder if it would have been easier to just let go, lol.
@MartinTheFirst

This not so minor point, though - my dad tried a little too hard and too often to get the boat motor to kick over. He kept pulling the cord again and again. As he did, the boat began rocking side to side in larger and larger swoops until we all went ass over tea kettle into the drink. He couldn't swim but he felt for me under the water until he found me, grabbing me by my side an heaving me up onto the upside-down boat.

If I drowned he never would've forgiven himself.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@rinkydinkydoink i had the same thought, my parents were on the beach, the only reason i didnt die is because i had the thought of how desperately theyd look for their child and never find it.
scorpiolovedeep · 51-55, M
Wish I was loved more....
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@scorpiolovedeep I understand that. Completely.
ScreamingFox · 41-45, F
Waiting one more year before I sold my house and did my van adventure would have been so much better. I hadn't the slightest clue though.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@ScreamingFox Then perhaps it wouldnt have been as fun if you waited, take it for what it is
ScreamingFox · 41-45, F
@MartinTheFirst meh, you don't understand
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@ScreamingFox Even though you regret it now, Im glad it was a positive experience.
Hm, maybe my teenage years but I'm actually alright not hitting rewind.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@HijabaDabbaDoo Good for you.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@HijabaDabbaDoo Too much SWeeping?
Sweetpoison · 41-45, F
Would try to safe mom
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@Sweetpoison What happened?
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
SwampFlower · 31-35, F
I’d be too afraid to change something I have now
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@SwampFlower I wouldn't change anything that happened before I had my kid. Couldn't risk that. So I get it.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@LadyBronte such a good movie
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
I'd have filed for this divorce in 2014 .. no question
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@BrandNewMan Yes, if only life would make everything clear to us, before we waste so much of our time. But you are on your way now! Nothing but good things your way now.
@LadyBronte Absolutely
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
The only thing I can think about is trying to teach my ex gf about the bible, i wish I could do it in a way that convinced her, but maybe we were too immature both for it. I would love to marry her, but instead we broke up right before going into highschool... she was a pretty girl, both outside and inside, but the last strongest memory i have of her is her screaming out "fuck god". It saddens me, I believe we were like made for each other.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@MartinTheFirst That was a long time ago. Maybe she's changed her outlook by now.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@LadyBronte i sometimes daydream about it
Hmmmm

My first love...
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@SomeMichGuy A first love is always special.
@LadyBronte Indeed so!
Sutten · 36-40, F
Career choice.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@MartinTheFirst I would have chosen something that spoke to my heart and that I rruly enjoyed, rather than jobs that stifled my creativity, made me dread Monday mornings, but paid the bills. A lot of poor choices in my life.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@LadyBronte No job really speaks to my heart haha... freedom is where my heart is at. I probably already have the best job i could imagine for me in this flawed world, but I still dread monday mornings.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@MartinTheFirst. Enjoy the 'almost perfect' job you've found and remind yourself it could always be (a lot) worse. Maybe it would help with an exceptionally tough Monday morning.
FrozenWasteland · 61-69, M
I would have run. Run fast, run far and never looked back.
I wouldnt have said yes to that boy
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
big:
I wish I had known in kindergarten what I wanted to do with my adult life, and then had made every step thereafter a step toward that goal

small:
go back 2 years and ignore the comments made on a now-deleted photography post of mine by someone who turned out to be a huge liar (and extremely paranoid ... if anything they ever told me was actually true) ... other people besides me have seen through this person, while several other people are still drinking this person's Kool-Aid (even people who this person spoke negatively of behind their backs ... and apparently you are not allowed to show them proof of this)
HowtoDestroyAngels · 46-50, M
Never marrying my second wife.

Kiesel · 56-60, M
Taken the risky step and pursued the music career
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@Kiesel It's not too late. Second careers often come later in life.
scorpiolovedeep · 51-55, M
What would be yours?
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@scorpiolovedeep I wouldn't change anything that happened before I had my kid. Couldn't risk changing that. But I would choose not to meet someone who really fucked me up emotionally. *shrug*

And you?
scorpiolovedeep · 51-55, M
That must have been terrible.
Wish people were more harmonious in life.

@LadyBronte
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@scorpiolovedeep Yeah. I wish people were more honest and compassionate. But that's not the case these days.
Do i get to remember this life?
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@OogieBoogie Yes. I think so.
FloorGenAdm · 51-55, M
Hit that lottery jackpot.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@FloorGenAdm Yeah. No kidding!
Not be so lazy at school
@LadyBronte I hope you are looking after yourself my dear friend ❤
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@OriginalNedKelly I am. At least trying to. I hope you are as well.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@LadyBronte We can always do better lol, I've been terribly lazy on and off, although despite that I always ended up doing more than others
Livingwell · 61-69, M
Skip the second wife... 🤭
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@Livingwell Yeah. Sorry.
DDonde · 31-35, M
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@DDonde Yeah. That's a great idea.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@DDonde Nice!
