If you put the jelly on first then the peanut butter is it still a Peanut butter and Jelly sandwich?

TrashCat · M
The proper way to construct a PB & jelley sandwhich is as follows:

1) ALWAYS spread the jelly first on one slice of bread
2) Spread Peanut Butter on the other slice
3) Put both halves together

The reason for doing this is that some people have Peanut 🥜 alleries and this eliminates cross contamination OR use a seperate knife for each.

Special Note: Do not cut the crust off the PB&J sandwich for anyone. People who have crust removal requirements are pretentious twats who should be eliminated with prejudice

Sorry, I don't put jelly in a sandwich at all:

Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
@Matt85 that’s jello though
Matt85 · 36-40, M
@Jenny1234 Haha. We call it jelly in the UK. We call jam what you call jelly.
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
@Matt85 jam and jelly are similar. I like my pb with jam. I don’t like jelly
calicuz · 51-55, M
Yes........ a little messier, but yes. 🤣
RenFur · 70-79, M
@calicuz even sloppy isn't too bad... 😋
royalblue1193 · 31-35, M
sounds like you're in a jam
Muthafukajones · 46-50, M
Peanut butter must be applied first or else the jelly will disintegrate
Flenflyys · 31-35, F
@Muthafukajones correct, but the reason is because if you put a knife covered with jelly into the peanut butter then you need to refrigerate it. Peanut butter into jam jar is ok.
Muthafukajones · 46-50, M
@Flenflyys finally someone who understands!!!
Flenflyys · 31-35, F
@Muthafukajones 🥰🥰🥰
DragonFruit · 61-69, M
Whether you put the jelly or the peanut butter on first, it's still the same end result...it's still a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
MrSmooTh · 31-35, M
According to the associative property in mathematics it is. If a+b=c then b+a must also =c.
calicuz · 51-55, M
@MrSmooTh

Yes, although I am opposed to the "toppings" on a burger being on the bottom of the patty. I mean, there is a reason they are called "toppings." 🤷‍♂️

Hmmmm…..well, there goes my chance of sleep….
smiler2012 · 56-60
@Thevy29 🤔by definition it is still the same thing i suppose
RenFur · 70-79, M
First of all, why eat jelly when you can savor jam??
Iwillwait · M
When you flip it over, yes!
I don't blame him. Were they right-handed or left-handed?
Baremine · 70-79, C
Did by a box of screws ( made in China) that was puzzling. Several of the screws had no flutes threads. They all had heads but a few had no place for the screw driver. If you tried to use a hammer they broke.
@Baremine oh, the ones that Boeing used to attach the doors on the 737 Max 9s.
Baremine · 70-79, C
@akapol1955 no they used bolts just didn't tighten them past finger tight.
easterniowegin · 51-55, M
Maybe it doesn't matter if you eat quickly, but if you're packing PB&J for a lunch, you spread BOTH slices with pb then apply jelly to one. This way the jelly won't make the bread soggy.
Baremine · 70-79, C
@easterniowegin I always mixed the jelly or honey with the peanut butter. Kept it on the bread.
pentacorn · F
yes, but never put jelly on anything. it's disgusting. use jam and whatever order you like, using separate knives to prevent cross-contamination
Baremine · 70-79, C
Just turn it over. My father in law wanted to throw half a box of nails away be cause the head was on the wrong end.
deadteddy · 26-30, F
No. It’s jelly and peanut butter sandwich
Lilnonames · F
I use jam and jam them together
