Loss, pain, and sadness, seem to be the best educators of the soul.

If they don't destroy it of course....
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@HikingMan I totally agree. Those things humble and mold us, or at least, that's been my experience. Bless those that it destructs..

MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@Gr8Guy1979 This is such a beautiful and heartwarming picture. We don't have the strongest relationship, but I know He's fully present..... guiding and protecting me through many different battles. Thank you for sharing it, as I needed the gentle reminder 🤗💞
Gr8Guy1979 · 41-45, M
@MoonlightLullaby You are welcome and I know how you feel I also know he’s a step away so all I need to do is take that extra step of faith right??? I hope this holidays you are well and blessed
Indy74 · 46-50, F
You have helped me find the light on numerous occasions. I always appreciate you and what you share with others. You help yourself and others heal. Thank you for being my best friend and soul sis always!!🤗☺💞 you're light has become my light.
Indy74 · 46-50, F
@MoonlightLullaby how else would I see it?? 🤭 you keep reminding me all the time!! ☺😁💞
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@Indy74 Someone has to keep your head on straight so that crown doesn't fall.💖
You just took a little trip with me 😉

Indy74 · 46-50, F
@MoonlightLullaby yeah, I just took a trip with you and is amazing!! 💖 Heavy is the head that wears the crown. Always!! 🙏😉🌷
Fairydust · F
I ended up in darkness and need to find the light 🔦🕯🖤
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@Fairydust I know you did, my lovely friend, but I think you actually have more light than you realize. Your aura radiates with it. You're just a little scared just yet. That's all. I see IT...😉🌷🤗
Fairydust · F
@MoonlightLullaby

awww
🥺🥰🤗
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@Fairydust Chin up buttercup. You got this. You're a badass.👊😘💖🌟[image deleted]
Niloo · 46-50, F
I find peace when I finally stop fighting and accept it for what it is .
Then I can sit quietly and find and appreciate those little sparks of light that I normally take for granted .
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@Niloo Sorry for just now seeing this. It's so lovely to see you.🌷💫
I find peace when I finally stop fighting and accept it for what it is .
Yes! It's a liberating feeling even though it doesn't seem pretty in the beginning. I know my greatest victory was accepting all I'm [c=800055]NOT[/c] and loving my own beautifully flawed self a little better.😉

Niloo · 46-50, F
@MoonlightLullaby
You are beautiful inside and out luv!🤗🤗🤗
It is very lovely to see you too ❤️
JerseyGal · 51-55, F
“The dance between darkness and light will always remain – the stars and the moon will always need the darkness to be seen, the darkness will just not be worth having without the moon and the stars.” ~C. JoyBell C.

I feel the same way when I've been in the darkness. It is not fun, and can be quite scary. But, I've found that while in the darkness, that's when I search deeper into myself, reaching to be better, striving for the light. Once I find that light, and climb out of the darkness, it makes me appreciate the light that much more. ✨
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@JerseyGal I love the quote you shared. Although it's stated more eloquently, it reminds me of the saying.. "It takes a shitload of darkness for a star to shine". I love this one too because it's exactly how I feel about myself.[image deleted]
I fully agree with everything you said in regards to your own personal journey. It reminds me of this song, and how I encourage others to take
little trip there vs fearing it💫😌...

RuyLopez · 56-60, M
I love certain aspects of darkness. The anonymity, the comfort as the darkness closes around you, hidden away even from your own self, your own thoughts. Sometimes I yearn for the darkness.
RuyLopez · 56-60, M
@MoonlightLullaby They are not to be spoken out loud..... 🙊 Unless we have had several strong drinks. 😏
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@RuyLopez

RuyLopez · 56-60, M
@MoonlightLullaby Now that is my idea of fun!!!! 🥴
StarLily · 51-55, F
Because that's where it is... inside us.🕯️

Very nice post.🤗
StarLily · 51-55, F
@MoonlightLullaby Yes, I think that's part of the struggle... so we'll discover that what we want is inside us all along. Deep inside our darkness. It's kinda like clicking your heels 3 times.😌

Wow, thanks for sharing that song... I love it. That's the first time I've heard it.
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@StarLily That is the cutest quote. I often get upset at my big heart at times. And like the Tin Man that wanted a heart, feel like the Lioness(Leo) that doesn't want one. I know it's my strongest assest though, but it can't help but to feel a little hurt and overly burdened..... Something tells me you understand that perfectly.😏

Thank you for sharing it, and it was my pleasure to share the song. I'm glad you enjoyed it.😌🌷
StarLily · 51-55, F
@MoonlightLullaby Yes. I understand that perfectly.🌷
Holdontothefire · 26-30, M
I'm still trying to find enough light to get by.
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@Holdontothefire You won't find it quickly. It takes a lot of dirty soul work, but I believe you'll get there because you're obviously trying. Baby steps.😉💞

PrestonJ · 36-40
I completely agree, it’s in those moments where my heart feels so broken that I’ve learned to love myself and chosen who will continue on this journey with me. When times are good I just enjoy them with a sense of play, I dont feel like I seek out lessons in those times.
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@PrestonJ Very much so. The dark times have molded me into a better person and I find beauty in that even though it felt far from beautiful then. And yes, we have to continue on life's journey with a farewell to some. Sad but true.
SW-User
There’s nothing in the dark that wasn’t there when the lights were on 😊
SW-User
Oh those 🙄. Naww ..I kicked those years ago . I became more stoic . Now I face life’s challenges with solving and acceptance ,so to speak 😊 @MoonlightLullaby
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@SW-User I go stoic at times for self preservation. It's more of an avoidance vs acceptance.🤔
SW-User
Avoidance isn’t stoic 😌.
That’s just an accept me or avoid me situation 😁@MoonlightLullaby
SW-User
I cannot express how heavily the words I’m about to share are to me.

“Walking through the darkness with friends, is better than walking in the light alone” I don’t remember the original words or who said it.

But these words embody the way my souls functions.
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@SW-User So sorry I missed this.🤗💖.. and I know you won't find it until you come out of hiding again.....
“Walking through the darkness with friends, is better than walking in the light alone”
Amen to that. Just like us.🙏 Missing your presence, but this place has lost it's awesomeness for me too . Just not my friends.😉
SW-User
More like always stumbling around in the dark trying to find the switch, trip over all the stuff on the floor, fall over and smack my head off the wall and knock myself out cold.

Metaphorically speakinnnnng.
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@SW-User I totally relate. I'm the girl who absolutely loves metaphors, so I appreciate you using it here to sum up your experience.🤗♥️
Peaches · F
YES, you truly value the light when you've been in very dark places. The brightest stars shine in the darkest places. 😌✨⭐ A few people have said that to me before.
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@Peaches Yes. Exactly. Perfect image too. Like the quote " It takes a shitload of darkness for a star to shine"...the very thing can be said of humans. I know well that it's truth and I'm grateful for those dark phases of life. They've truly taught me a lot about myself and made me more resilient.💫⭐
Peaches · F
@MoonlightLullaby I second this emotion! 🥰✨💫
Dayvee65 · M
I've been blinkered by a thick soup of darkness for many months.I honestly believe that all light is artificial. Damn...Happy new year S! 🎉
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@Dayvee65 Omgoodness, David. Is so nice to finally see you, but sad that darkness has settled in your heart. I've been worried about you, but noticed you had went on hiatus. Sometimes I know it's best to leave some people to their quiet contemplation until they settle whatever it is that haunts. 🖤🥀
... and blossoms of growth return once again.🌷

You're one of my oldest besties, and feel as if I've let you down. Please forgive me and know that I've missed you dearly.💞🤗
Dayvee65 · M
@MoonlightLullaby 🤗🤗🤗 I could never abandon my soul mate. Darkness can be rich...in some ways. I plod on in darkness. 😘
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@Dayvee65 You're one of the sweetest besties God ever blessed me with. Always know that.🥰🌼🤗 I'm actually elated to even see you again.
Darkness can be rich
I've never posted my dark poetry here, but my one about surrendeing to be evil synergy of nothingness proved that theory true. Light was at the end of that dark tunnel. I haven't written anything in nearly a year and haven't been involved with my writing family in nearly that same amount of time. My muse is dead.😶

I pointed my soul sis in the direction of your poetry one day and she was super impressed. You have the natural gift of written word that makes Pandy jelly.😏
dancingtongue · 80-89, M
It's when we are tested that we learn what is of value and importance in the world rather than the material crap we are tempted to chase all the time.
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@dancingtongue Yes, you're very much correct. I've never been attracted to the materialistic things of this world, but I've definitely lost focus of the simplicity I was surrounded by for many years because I chose to be bitter with my stolen dreams and a life that I let define me. I had to let go of the latter and find out I was so much MORE.💞
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@HakunaMatata Beautiful quote. Thank you for sharing.💖
I’m already trapped there permanently. Just want it all finalised and see pretty colours forever.
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@AwakeningConfession221122 I hope you can be able to change your perspective. Once upon a time, I gave up on life and prayed for the end. I'm not saying my life is easy peasy , as it's far from it, but I'm glad to be alive now. Everything that was once monochrome, is technicolor......
H❣️PE exists, we just have to look for it. Let me share some extra light 'til then. 🕯️
SW-User
Sometimes I’ve needed to hit rock bottom to be able to start healing
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@SW-User You summed it up perfectly. You're actually someone I truly admire. I know your life isn't easy peasy, and you know more suffering than most of us older people. You're so young, but extremely astute and full courage.♥️🤗
SW-User
@MoonlightLullaby ah thank you, that’s so kind of you to say that, it really means a lot to me 🥰
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@SW-User No thanks needed, but I'm glad it could touch your heart.😘🤗🌷
SW-User
Great post. Looking at the darkness and facing it, is true honesty. Honesty about ourselves.
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@SW-User Yes! This is exactly what it's about. Confronting ourselves and making the conscious decision to change or remain the same.🌷
Canuckle · 51-55, M
It was the darkness that brought me into the light in life. Great shares :)
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@Canuckle It isn't a pretty process, but it tansforms us into something better and brighter if we truly reflect on it.❤️‍🩹✨
Canuckle · 51-55, M
@MoonlightLullaby yes it does.
SW-User
I usually find it more quiet and that's more comforting sometimes.
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@SW-User There can be comfort found there too, I agree. I call those moments silent contemplation... it's like a mix between self preservation and deep introspection for me. It sounds like a total contradiction, but I'm a breathing one myself.😉
SW-User
@MoonlightLullaby I know the feeling
Noble · 56-60, M
So true!

Immensely appreciate this sentiment.
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@Noble Thank you, dearest Noble. I'm glad you found appreciation in it, and more so, I'm happy to see you.🤗🙏💝
Noble · 56-60, M
Yes, it’s your posts that bring me back 🤗 @MoonlightLullaby

Keep it up!
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@Noble I'm back to do just that. I just needed a little breather and some introspection... I love that stuff.😉
SW-User
Beautifully put. 🙂
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@SW-User Thank you. It's my pleasure to share my past struggles. I suppose you can relate then?
SW-User
@MoonlightLullaby I believe we all have the experiences we have in order to become who we’re meant to be.
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@SW-User You're indeed correct. I once let my old life define me. I thought that was my only purpose when I lost it, but I learned I was meant for way more than just that.😉
Flowerz · 36-40, F
I've found a lot of darkness looking for the light.
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@Flowerz It sounds like it never led you to a happier place in life then? I can't say all my times of despair brought happiness. I also learned happiness isn't a destination like some people portray. It's just another feeling, much like positivity itself.🤗🖤
GJOFJ3 · 61-69, M
There is a lot of truth in this
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@GJOFJ3 I'm glad you could appreciate the message, J. Thank you...💗
antonioioio · 70-79, M
Very true ❤️
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@antonioioio Indeed. Thank you for the light you graced upon me by checking in on my absence yesterday and the thoughtful gift as well. I'm a bit interesting because there are so many depths to what make me myself. But truth is, I'm actually more boring than anything. 💙🤭
antonioioio · 70-79, M
@MoonlightLullaby you struck accord with me as someone special 💜
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@WhateverWorks It's unfortunate, but oh so true. I'm glad you can find laughter in it just like myself. Cheers to that.🥂🌟

I spent too many years being bitter instead. It's not like we can change the past nor all of our current problems.😉 May as well grow instead.🌷
WhateverWorks · 36-40
I feel this throughout my being lol Humor is definitely my coping mechanism. It’s been brought to my attention on many occasions. Only once did I crack a joke and someone pointed out my deflective humor might possibly be a problematic thing,
to which I replied, “Perhaps, but notice how you’re still laughing?” 😝 @MoonlightLullaby
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@WhateverWorks I've had people do me the same way when I turn my many inadequacies into clever little puns to make them laugh. I think laughter is the best coping mechanism ever, and not only that, there are so many things screwed up with my body...why not make fun of them? It sure beats throwing a pity party.😏
...and besides, if you always act like you're pitiful, you'll be judged for that too. Pfft, people.😜
