Do you consider we are headed for extinction or s totalitarian global government?

Probably neither, I'm thinking humanity will kinda just have a slump moving forward, sorta like the bronze age collapse but less severe. We definitely won't have a one world totalitarian gov't because mutually assured destruction exists and the current gov'ts don't wanna share their power. But we could very well run into a situation where most powerful gov'ts are totalitarian.

Totalitarian global government is the goal of big tech and the multi-billionaires. And that would be absolutely no fun at all. They would eventually begin the battle of the titans. Imagine have to send your sons or daughters to war, to die, so that greedy selfish oligarchs can have more, more, more...😡

Maybe a civil war or two first

If countries join up then they eliminate competition between them (over taxation/ regulation), allowing them to expand their power as a whole. That’s why I definitely think we’re headed towards global government. (Despite that being an awful thing)

We're headed for an extinction, no doubt. That's inevitable. I really don't see humanity doing what needs to be done before then, to preserve our species. All the eggs are in one basket.
