Is it okay to like some of the letters of LGBTQ but not all of them?

In my opinion you can love who you want to love but identifying as something you are not is counterproductive, and should not be allowed under the age of minority on the grounds that children are not of sound mind legally speaking.

What does that even mean?

@Rilynn I can’t think of a way of writing this any more simply.
@Castenmas that's like saying you're discriminating that orientation group holding that letter classification. .. like wuzzt?
Castenmas · M
@Rilynn In plain English, what is your question?
@Castenmas LGBTQI which letter then?
Castenmas · M
@Castenmas Trans? Okay why?
Castenmas · M
@Rilynn It’s less of a social progress and more of a group delusion. It’s something we are doing to be polite, but will be mocked by future generations.
@Castenmas I have a trans friend. Do you know what they go through to achieve happiness and social acceptance?
Castenmas · M
@Rilynn Telling a person who hears voices that you hear the voices too is a cruelty, not a kindness.
@Castenmas

What makes you think that?
The idea that a female spirit can be in a male body or vise versa is not a new one.
Additionally, science tells us that there is an actual, physical difference between the brains of trans gander and cis gender people with the brains of the transgender more closely resembling the brain of the gender they identify as.
That is to say that a trans woman (male body) brain looks more like a cis gender female brain than a cis gender male brain.
@Castenmas So I'm supposed to just tell them how to think and accept themselves? It's their body their choice. You dont get any say in it.
Castenmas · M
@Rilynn I’m not giving you any advice. l’m telling you what I think. You know your friends and how best to support them.
@Castenmas I know. It's casual banter don't take it personally.
Castenmas · M
@Rilynn I’m glad to hear it.

@Pikachu It doesn’t change the skeletal structure, muscle build or chemical balance.
@Castenmas

So what?
You've attempted to trivialize this condition as a delusion and the science says that it is not a delusion but an actual physical difference in the brain.
So your skeletal and muscle build are different but the thing that makes you, you does not conform to that outward appearance.
Here's a question you now have to answer: Is the being that you think of as you your body or the mind within it?

I'm guessing that this is the first time you've been exposed to this scientific finding. Don't knee-jerk try to protect your world view and ego.
Make sure you are assessing the information without bias insofar as you are able.
Castenmas · M
@Pikachu My ego is not an issue here. I am what I have been since birth, and it’s no different for anyone else.

I can fall in love with a woman or a man. But identifying as is a nice way of saying “I’m pretending to be” which must be an extraordinary strain.
@Castenmas
I am what I have been since birth, and it’s no different for anyone else.
Agreed.
...but either your ego has caused you to be disingenuous or you're not paying attention.
But identifying as is a nice way of saying “I’m pretending to be”
Did you or did you not read the link i sent you which shows that a transgender person is not just "pretending to be" but that their brain actually more closely resembles the gender they identify with than the brain of their physical sex?
Do you understand the significance of that finding? Answer me directly so that i know you're being honest.
Castenmas · M
@Pikachu Honestly I didn’t read the link. This post is expressing what I think, it’s too close to bed time to start studying what others would like me to think.
@Castenmas

Then honestly you're being intellectually dishonest. It's fine to begin with a bias but if you cling to that bias by refusing to expose yourself to counter evidence then ... well i'll let you decide whether that is a good thing or a bad thing.
I'll take you at your word and accept that your responses are not ego driven. I'll assume the best of you and assume your positions are not ideologically driven.

So if you are a honest person of character and good will...look into this subject before you make more comments about it and insist upon your position.
Follow the link i shared. Use that as a jumping off point to search out more science rather than surfing social media for rhetoric.

Go to bed.
Wake up.
Start the day as a person who wants to know what it true and not a person who wants to justify what they already believe.
