Death of the 1st amendment

As media networks start to bend to trump's fragile ego, I can't help but think back how Hitler did the same. Unwilling to be challenged or even questioned, the Nazi regime had a strongarm on the media.

Once a person in power goes after the media to get them to submit to their narrative, we lose more freedom. We are allowed to mock, discuss, ridicule, and create satire. It is one of our main tenants of America. Supression of the media is a huge loss to that freedom.

His comments on wanting to be adored like Kim Jung Un get closer to reality by the day.

He’s always had a penchant for dictatorial strong men.

I’m hoping this WSJ article will mark the end of his prominence. The cracks are there now, and it’s clear he’s not handling the pressure well.

We the People must not surrender our Bill of Rights to ANYONE. They can't take our freedom of speech, etc., unless we give it to them. Let's not.

CBS was bullied over a 60 Minutes report. Colbert has been cancelled. Congress cut off funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. There is a pattern.

Consider how much "freedom of speech" exists in an average private corporation . . I think that is what Trump aspires to.

@SunshineGirl I think he fashions himself more like North Korea where saying anything bad about the ruler is an instantaneous trip to a hard labor prison for 20 years. Because to him, that is being powerful.

And Hitler of course had learned those lessons from Mussolini.

@beckyromero And the beat goes on

I can't wait to hear the brainwashed MAGATS try to defend this one.
FoxyQueen · 51-55, F
@LordShadowfire They will. They will say that people shouldn't be allowed to make negative comments about the current president because hypocrisy is their motto
