True or False, ICE is independant of NYPD?

I keep getting different reports, some saying it's only 200 people who were detained by ICE. Some saying it's in the thousands and they get deported to countries that arent their home. It's so confusing to me, and the NYPD keeps implying on the news that they aren't connected to ICE bur i'm not sure what to believe.

I’d imagine the answer is ice collect a federal paycheck. The cops get a city pay check. They can and should work together. But you know… the woke blue cities.. they not going to lift a finger to help remove their voting block

Deportations are up like 15% from the previous admin.. apparently.
15% of what exactly. I don’t think anyone knows..

Trump can't stand Obama holding the highest record of deportations, being called the Deporter and Chief.

And Obama did it in a way that people didn't even know he was doing it.

@gregloa when you are allowed to enter a country that is not illegal - illegal is when you are not allowed to enter and you sneak in.

People have been coming through the Mexican borders since Texas became a state and it was deemed illegal for them to do so.

It got so bad in the '60s and '70s here in Texas, border patrol cease to seek them out and send them back and really wasn't trying to stop them from coming in. Then in the 90s certain people, especially in the mid and up north areas of the States begin to complain about Hispanics taking all the jobs, and receiving healthcare, and schooling and the government tried to get a hold on it.

And more illegals may have entered under Biden, I don't know....... then the population of the world has grown and continually growing compared to a decade ago, two decades ago, three decades ago so mathematics tells us naturally it would be more.
