So we were at the prison again today

And we noticed a mold or fungus growing up the wall in one of the rooms. We told the guard with us and she shrugged and said “oh well”

You know…not gonna lie that really bothered me. A lot. Not everyone in there is some monster.

Just because they are inmates, doesn’t mean we don’t take care of their health. Yes, there are some very bad people in prison, but there are also those who just made a mistake, or are victims of a terrible upbringing. I’ve come to hate the justice/prison system. I’ve witnessed the corruption and injustice of it all.

We only spend money on the rich. The rest don’t matter. @MalteseFalconPunch

I know and it's being 'discussed', a little late in N.B Mold and rats and I guess inmates are sub-human...

@MalteseFalconPunch Sorry, I just am reliving that experience of visiting a woman's Prison and having them cat-call me and I was intimidated and turned on at the same time

Yes it's cruelty
The "rehabilitation" thing is such bullshit. How are you going to rehabilitate someone who you don't even treat like a human?

If this is in the US, more than likely that prison facility is more like a for-profit slave labour camp

Being locked up does have its disadvantages.

@MalteseFalconPunch agreed and the government not being accountable is not right either to say the least. They run education, they could make it illegal for politicians or candidates to take any sort of contributions from individuals or corporations would be an excellent start

@MalteseFalconPunch I believe you are correct. When so few control so much so many will so few. Stupid but true

That would be black mold.

I bet those mold or fungi spores can cause respiratory, or other ailments for some. Asthmatics would be at greater risk. @MalteseFalconPunch

That’s unconscionable. @MalteseFalconPunch
No, but the guards generally are.

@MalteseFalconPunch I want to say it was Winston Churchill who said that if you want to see the dregs of society, go to a prison...

...during shift change.
