@CestManan that’s what the commercial said

If you ask a monk they would probably just say something like " a tree looses its leaves in the fall time". Then leave you to figure it out for the rest of your life.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@GuyWithOpinions obviously that monk never saw a conifer! 🤣

The misunderstanding is similar in reverse.

You think they would know why pagans decorated living trees that had leaves at winters solstice?

Because conifers never loose all their leaves at any time of the year.

Most Christians don't even know that. And stole the ritual without understanding it. So they killed it and cut the tree down. Insuring all the life left it.
GuyWithOpinions · 31-35, M
@DeWayfarer coniferious trees have needles and cones. Deciduous trees have leaves that fall. I dont know anything about the Christian history there but i live in canada and i know some trees haha.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@GuyWithOpinions my father hated the Christian ritual. And was raised in eastern Europe. Near the Caucasus mountains were the word Cauc"asian" originated.

@CestManan You shoulld have at least read them? At the least they are entertaining, and now maybe predicting your future asking this question. 😏
CestManan · 46-50, F
@SW-User Sometimes I would read them but it was just generic stuff.
SW-User
@CestManan That's the fun of those fortune cookies, how generic they are. Let's you make any story you want and I think that is the purpose of those cookies.

@Unlearn Well, spill the beans!
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
All I know is it's something about my Coke.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@CestManan I remember that. Even back then there was a conspiracy theory that Coke deliberately created a terrible new formula so that people would demand the old one back, and that nobody would notice they replaced the cane sugar with corn syrup.
CestManan · 46-50, F
@LordShadowfire
and that nobody would notice they replaced the cane sugar with corn syrup.

That whole ordeal wouldn't be the biggest stunt a company ever pulled.

I prefer Pepsi over Coke, though my fav soda is A&W.

When I was a kid, sweets were sweets. Well except a few things like candy corn.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@CestManan I've never enjoyed Pepsi. It's too cloying. Coke is still sweet, but not quite like that.
