No-one famous.When travelling in the U.S.,some people have thought I'm from the U.K. - in the part of Australia I am from,accents were originally derived from those of London and the Home Counties.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
I speak with an Albertan accent and I sound like Julius Caesar. (or so I was told by my grade one teacher.) I have no idea how my grade one teacher knew what Julius Caesar sounded like. 😜
GovanDUNNY · M
@hippyjoe1955 Hail Hail Hail
I don't have an accent. I speak standard English -- the right way. Not like those posh British people!!
@GovanDUNNY Do you have one of those posh accents like the royal family?
GovanDUNNY · M
@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays More or less the same as Billy Connolly
@GovanDUNNY Had to look that one up. Cool! At least I can understand him. I don't understand some British people!! My dad used to say, "I don't understand those Limeys when they talk!" Have you ever heard the term limey? Is it offensive? Sorry if it is. But that's what he used to say!

@Ontheroad I never really thought I had a distinctive accent until I went to college in Georgia. And back then Carter was president and the popular catchphrase for Southerners was. “We don’t have accents anymore—y’awl do !" 😄
Dino11 · M
@bijouxbroussard And good ol' Lester Maddox.

CestManan · 46-50, F
@Azlotto My daughter in law was telling me once about how her uncle Cooter used to sit on the porch and blast some CD called "The chuck wagon express".
That is just about as Kentucky as it gets.
