@bijouxbroussard This. I was for years and years told the same thing and when I asked what that meant, I was invariably told it was accent neutral.

@Ontheroad I never really thought I had a distinctive accent until I went to college in Georgia. And back then Carter was president and the popular catchphrase for Southerners was. “We don’t have accents anymore—y’awl do !" 😄
