@Jacko1971 Not forgetting that ancient Chinese golfing philosopher, Ho Lin Wun, whose saying "The other man's green is always grassier" has passed into common parlance (read back to front for some unknown oriental reason).

@WalterF sounds fair. I think there might be a thread somewhere about proverbs in other languages that translate badly into English.
