Should comedy have limits, or should anything be allowed in jokes?

Unlimited. Comedy is free speech.

There is humor in everything. There has to be.

Limits. Humans should have limits or we are an uncivilized barbarian society.

Depends on how it's pushed. If there's only one type of comedy pushed, is that really right?

Is it right to use comedy to insult directly instead of indirectly?

If you're religious is it comedy to make fun of the religion within a church, place of worship or sacred place?

Is it comedy to make fun of the dead?

Is it comedy to cause panic in a crowded area?

Nothing is absolute. And comedy is no exception.

Everything has limits, but I think anything can be joked about if done well.

Comedy should push boundaries but not at the cost of punching down on people who are already hurting.

Who is in charge of the allowing? It doesn't look like Trump can take humorous criticism. At all.
Remember when Obama made a laughing stock out of him at that press dinner years ago? LOL

My motto is: punching up to people and institutions in power is always allowed. Kicking down to people who are already powerless should be avoided. Also: mock choices, not circumstances.

just cause it's a joke doesn't mean it can't also be in bad tase or horrible or insulting.. or gross af. people's choice of words says a lot about them joking or otherwise some things just aren't funny in the end

Who cares? If you’re thin skinned, turn the channel or don’t go. You can preview a comic on YouTube; so, there really aren’t any excuses for your complaints about the content.
