Age Question

I’ve always felt this way since I turned 50 but did older people seem a lot older to you when you were younger? I think of my grand parents and even parents and they seemed so much older and way more mature then my friends and I when we hit the “old” age. Just curious if there are factors that actually make that a possibility or is it just an illusion.

I think it's because we view them from the state of mind we had back then. The memory works that way. I'm 72 but my mind still feels youthful and immature compared to the way I remember my Dad.
The body? Yeah that's where things go to hell.

Yes. And that illusion popped when I started working.

Your perception is your reality.
Abe Vidgoda was 52 when he was on Barney Miller, Caroll O'Connor was 44 doing All in the Family, Ann B Davis was 43 playing Brady Bunch, Francis Bouvier was early 40's doing Andy Griffith.

@NativePortlander1970 so it’s not just me. 70 really is the new 50!
