I know I have so many dark side in my life but never try to hide those from others

I hide a lot of my dark side. Some aspects of my dark side aren't socially acceptable in a post 9/11 society. Others are too violent to share with the masses.

I do definitely self censor around some people. It is not anything particularly dark or bad but just some stuff I am into doesn't conform to social norms and I just don't want that conversation.

Yes, no point in showing. If I were open about the ugly in me those like me might take it as encouragement to be open about it as well. And heck, I don't want people to be like the ugly side of me. There's nothing good or useful about it.

I totally do. I am a sexual deviant and have been all my life that I can remember. I have broken so many sexual laws and taboos. Many of which would have seen me in jail if I had been caught, or at least ruined my career.

Only my best friend has a hint of what I used to do and knows nothing about the chain of victims I have.

It depends .. I don't want to bother people, respect people that don't care.

And I don't want to bring others down...

But if they seem to care, want to know and I think I can handle it, then I'll be willing to share with them.

Good, bad or indifferent
It's not worth the energy to hide your essence, because it eventually makes its way out
Plus, you sort through people much quicker...as far as, who truly wants to be around you
