What is one thing you dislike about your house or apartment?

👀😬
Starcrossed · 41-45, F Best Comment
Only one thing? But there's a lot.
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
@Moneyonmymind new bathroom flooring and new driveway.
Moneyonmymind · 31-35, M
@Starcrossed I don’t like the driveway at my building either too small
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
@Moneyonmymind ours needed to be replaced 20 years ago. I'm not sure how our neighbors even stand us.

Sutten · 36-40, F
It's small, I need more space. even if I were to renovate or build on the grounds are not big enough. I would need to purchase a bigger house which would be costly. Hopefully in the future I'm in a financial position where I can.
HumanEarth · 56-60, F
That it's too modern

I was forced to install septic mound system and regular plumbing

For over 130 years our home was fine with hand pump well, we used a bucket to crap in and old fashion tub that we heated water on the wood/coal cooking stove with.

We were happy living this way for over 20 years. Then state or county got a bug up their ass. Now we had to pay $45,000 dollars to install something we don't want

I had to use my retirement money to pay for it. Because I will not take out a loan and have another bill to pay to make the bank richer

My little family of mice that live under my refrigerator are moving, because we're having words. I'm helping them move their little furniture, such as their little dinner table etc. It's heartbreaking.😕

@MMarco 😂 wicked work

More of an inconvenience, sometimes dangerous wildlife wander in. There's a bear we're waiting for the game wardens to deal with it. It likes my neighbor's tree.

Otherwise, I love my home and its surroundings.
SeaGlass · F
I can't see out before exiting through the back door to the deck. There is not a single window on the west side of my house.
Moneyonmymind · 31-35, M
@SeaGlass very odd
I can hear noise from outside.

I would definitely sound proof my sleeping area when I buy my own house.
Moneyonmymind · 31-35, M
@LifeIsShort isn’t that normal though? Depending on the street you live on unless they’re really making buildings soundproof
dancingtongue · 80-89, M
No real view of the outside world. The two rear bedrooms that have been converted into offices are the only ones with views of the street, and those windows are high up so you can't really see out them unless you are standing. The house is wrapped around an interior entrance courtyard and the livring/dining/family space looks out on the backyard. The sense of privacy and solitude has its good points, but the isolation from what is happening in the neighborhood is a big price to pay.
Tumbleweed · F
That I can't paint or wallpaper the walls
Tumbleweed · F
@Moneyonmymind They won't allow it. I also have a friend who lives in an apartment and they're not even allowed to hang pictures
Moneyonmymind · 31-35, M
@Tumbleweed walls that bad huh?
Tumbleweed · F
@Moneyonmymind No, not bad, just plain.
Poppies · 61-69, F
There is only one bathroom. There are other things, but that is the worst.
Sevendays · M
I don't like the electric stove and I know I can change it to gas but just haven't.

Kiesel · 56-60, M
Stucco exterior
Hate it
Love the entire interior design though
exexec · 61-69, C
I wish the kitchen was a bit larger, big enough for an island.
Raaii · 22-25, F
where I live now there are a lot to complain but I should just adjust
🤦‍♀
NotMy1stRodeo · 56-60, M

Rolexeo · 26-30, M
No ventilation in the bathroom
Moneyonmymind · 31-35, M
@Rolexeo I never got why people think that’s a good idea
Moneyonmymind · 31-35, M
Lilymoon · F
It's a little too small
Moneyonmymind · 31-35, M
@Lilymoon I feel that I’m in a studio
Shoddy craftsmanship
Moneyonmymind · 31-35, M
Relatively new neighbors who walk on the roof. I live on the top floor, a decision I made for both the view and because I didn’t want anyone walking on my ceiling. It’s a really old building (1915) so when someone’s up there it sounds like they could come through the roof any moment. I try to avoid complaining about anyone, but I’ve already asked them not to (they have cut back).
I really hope they’ll move.
MethDozer · M
I hate the very concept of apartments and apartment living
Moneyonmymind · 31-35, M
@MethDozer same but it will be at least a year or 2 before I can afford a house
