I mean it's not going to do anything that it wouldn't have done to an animal

I doubt it will heat much of area. I had a shower with a heat lamp installed. It didn't add any noticeable heat to the small bathroom. It was only noticeable standing under it. Like the effect of an infrared heater.

They likely need to be used in a socket intended for high wattage. Many household sockets are rated for 60W. They may also be intended to use only in a fixture like the one shown on the left side of the box. I suggest you use an electric heater with a fan that can be placed in a safe location instead.

@WowwGirl If the garage isn't well insulated consider adding some. Also, consider looking into having an electrician install a wired-in heater with a thermostat. If you are in a very cold climate and have natural gas, look into a natural gas heater as they can be less expensive to operate.

Very doubtful. Not sure where you are or how big your garage is or how well insulated it is. But at 250 watts, you would probably need about 20 of them just to notice a temperature change.
How warm do u want your garage to be?
