Can I use animal warming light bulbs in my garage to heat it?

I think? I would have heard about someone doing this if it was okay.

I doubt it will heat much of area. I had a shower with a heat lamp installed. It didn't add any noticeable heat to the small bathroom. It was only noticeable standing under it. Like the effect of an infrared heater.

@Gibbon thank you, just trying to find something

@WowwGirl Is the garage insulated? I wouldn't waste heat money without it.

@Gibbon it's not and I feel I'm throwing money away trying. And I didn't know for sure so thank u

@WowwGirl Without insulation you'll need something like a 30,000 BTU woodstove to win against the grip of winter. Insulated you should be able knock off some of the chill with a 1500 watt space heater.

@Gibbon the ones like big fans?

@WowwGirl No big fans. Just a basic room heater. The garage door is a big heat loss but thin foam sheeting cut to fit the panels helps a bit. It's not going to be real toasty but the chill can definitely be knocked off.
