For that reason we take them down much later than most people. Real winter started on NYE here this season. Only now there's snow and temperatures dropped below zero. The "night" still starts at 4:20 PM. No way I'm taking lights down yet.

@CrazyMusicLover My tree doesn't go down til about mid January.

Mine are still up but the battery operated decorations have started to fade. I’m taking them down today and my tree and garlands down on Sunday. I usually feel sad about taking them down but this Christmas was more of a holiday and time off than festivities.

This is why people keep Christmas trees up all year around or some people keep Christmas lights up like they light a mantle. I light up 24/7 a 50 plus year old Santa Claus because it lightens my mood.

I do my wife absolutely loves Christmastime
She’s like a just like a little kid .her eyes light right up is so cute to see!!and her big smile !
When we watch the old Christmas classics

We follow the 12 days of Christmas schedule. Tree and decorations go up om Christmas eve, down on the Epiphany - AKA 3 kings day.
Down isn't sad, it's a celebration of the visit of the Magi and time to enjoy a King Cake.
We usually buy one, maybe this year we can make one!

More as a kid than now, maybe because its a fake tree that I put up..rather than seeing a real tree at the curb ,garland flying in the wind

Normally yes, but I've been away for most of the Christmas season this year so it's not so bad for me.
ronisme1 · 61-69, M

I used to. Anymore I dread getting them out.
Always leads to the inevitable putting them away.
I think Im the only one that cares so its a bit of a bother.
