After 1/6, King's Day, when the Wise Men showed up. But then I don't start hyping Christmas before Halloween, either. In my family, it was forbidden to put up any Christmas decorations until after 12/9, my nephew's birthday, so as to not confuse/diminish his birthday celebration. Unfortunately there was never much we could do for my oldest son, born on the Fourth of July. He was crushed the year he learned all the fireworks were not for him.

I don't put them up anymore, but I used to take them down on the 7th January (that's the day when in Italy Christmas holidays are officially over, after the Epiphany. I've been living in the UK since 2013, but I still followed the Italian tradition at home).

Most often on New year's Day. They're down now, but haven't been stored in the attic yet -- haven't had the strength/ambition to climb the ladder.

Decorations come down after Twelfth Night. The Christmas tree (and lights) remain up until the first weekend In February when the tree is moved into the garden if it has not completely died.

New Year’s Day.

I usually run the outdoor Christmas lights on my house until about the middle of summer, then I take everything down at once including the tinsel from the store-bought pine tree in my living room, which I tie to the roof of my car and then toss into a suitable ditch somewhere along the way while on my way into town shopping.
